What is K9 Nose Work®
Started in California in the late 2000s by
professional detection dog handlers, it is an activity for
all dogs of every age, breed and ability as well as for
handlers of any age or experience. It has grown to where
many associations offer the sport with various odours and
challenge levels.
It is a no-aversives, no-discipline, no-guilt fun
activity that teams a dog and handler to search for odors.
Students start by learning the foundation of the hunt.
All classes are
instructed by
Donna Toews CPDT-KA CNWI.
(first International team to ELT-CH)
Donna Toews (CNWI) is a certified instructor with
National Association of Canine Scent Work LLB since March
2012. She has participated in the activity since December
2009 and her team is the first from Canada to earn a Elite
